You may recall Newt Gingrich and Bill O’Reilly vociferating about the dangers of Shariah law coming to the United States. Almost everyone with a brain wrote the two off as fools — except fifteen years later, they were right.

Conservatism, in its extreme form, is always about codifying what other people can do. Shariah Law — the conservative aspect of Islamic law — limits the rights and freedom of women to control their minds, their bodies, and their worlds.
