Many are familiar with the “conspiracy theories” surrounding the ancient order of the Illuminati, but how much is grounded in truth? Who were the Illuminati? Do they still exist?

About the Illuminati
Illuminati — is the Latin plural for illuminatus, or “enlightened.”
According to Merriam-Webster: enlightened; enlightening
1. a: to furnish knowledge to: Instruct.
Enlightened us about the problem.
b: To give spiritual insight to.
2. Archaic: Illuminate.
The term “Illuminati” has intrigued and perplexed people for centuries, often shrouded in mystery and conspiracy theories. Considering the term originally meant “enlightened,” why are we so in the dark about this group?
It is my hope to uncover some of the truths about the Illuminati, or at least to shed light on its origin and separate some facts from fiction.
