The Value of Meetings for Decision-Making
How often should meetings happen?
Are meetings important? My own understanding of a meeting is that you get clarity & know what you have to do exactly when you are given work to do.
Meetings have an agenda that states the discussions that will take place.
No meetings occur when we join Medium, so we must find a way around it. New writers do not understand that Medium gives 50 claps and we should honor people with them.
They do not understand the value of interaction and why we should read a post completely.
It is not their fault. They are not trained and slowly understand the value when they are on the platform for a while.
At all workplaces, there is an interaction and then there is a meeting where the boss trains you and explains what the organization requires from you.
However, meetings should have some value for a person to attend it. If there is no value then what is the need to attend it?
When meetings are too long it is very boring and the value of the meeting is finished.
