I was too ahead, many times — sometimes the right timing — never too late.

Crocheting is in time, now.

It is everywhere. It has had periods of time within the 20th century, and even before. A great memory is my mother crocheting me a dress when I was four years old in 1937.

When I first did crochet, with leather stripping in 1965, and structured a catalog, Creative Kits, it was too ahead of time. I sold some, but would sell a lot more now. But not at 91. The last one is the same vest as third one, but is now in the MassArt Fashion Design Museum and is a photo. with others from my collections in their 2022 catalog, “Pattern Engineering”.

Power Shoulders are in again

In my research, the first time Big Shoulders were in for women, was the 1940s and WWII. It was a symbol of women gaining power. Since then, the trend has been on and off throughout the 20th and 21st centuries.

Dress over pants

This is a great trend. In the past I associated it with women from India, wearing their saris over pants. I have some dresses from my past collections that I could not wear now, because they require heels. At 91, I can no longer wear heels, but I can wear my dresses with pants — and do not need heels 😀 I have a few other dresses, with zippers in the back. I will change them to separating zippers in the front and wear pants.

Being on time is not what it is cracked up to be. I have had a wonderful life. Fame too early can hurt your future creativity. I have had enough fame, and now rest on my laurels, at 91. I do hope my readers have learned things. Thank you. Love to all.
