If you are dating a horse girl, there’s no use running because she’ll surely catch up to you. I know firsthand.

They are a peculiar type to deal with and unlike any woman I’ve dated before. I’ve learned a few tips over the past six years for those of you considering entering this life, as it can have a few unexpected twists — and surely involves a different psychology.

It’s a different kind of animal affection.

I come from a family that has always had lots of animals (my mother has six dogs currently), so I have an affinity for them. But there are still disagreements — and they can even be fun.

Laura and I often get into a lighthearted debate when she talks about her horse, Kingston, namely because she talks about him like he’s her long lost brother, going on about how great it was to see him, telling me about his personality, and how his mood was good or bad on a certain day. She anthropomorphizes so many traits upon him.

“Yes, but does your horse even know who you are?” I said,

“I’m not sure. It’s not like that with horses,” She replied with a guilty smile.
