Tiring morning,
Academic meeting,
Smile and nod
sipping coffee,
Sipping coffee
Nod and smile,
Thank goodness
that’s over,
What was said?

Coffee in hand
LED garden check,
Watering and
checking plants,
Closely inspected
leaves of kale,
Looking up
transfixed.

Vision in
white with hints
palest yellow and
touches of
delicate pinks,
Snapdragon
translucent under
intense lights,
Heart wrenching
breathtaking beauty
floating before me,
Sweeping cares away
Renewing tired spirit
bringing peace,
Fitting day’s end.

Blessed be
dear friends,
Seek beauty
each day and
be rewarded with
contented spirit.
