Consider that the totality of consciousness is the makeup of each of us. Within this body of consciousness are all the emotions — the good and the bad, the fear and the courage, the love and the hate. How these are expressed varies from person to person, and they create the reality in which we live.

Relationships and interactions with others act as a mirror to ourselves and we can see through the behavior and thoughts of others where we have been, where we are now, and where we may be headed. Above all else we can see how habitual we are based on how we have been conditioned to think and act. Our conditioning has led us to become terribly conflicted individuals in that we know that we have thoughts and inclinations that trouble us. This only goes to prove that we are not in control; it is the psychological conditioning, the subconscious, that is in control.

Watch out for those neural pathways!
