“Ultimately, the language of physics is mathematics,” Bernard Carr started. “That shows our understanding because mathematics is a creation of the mind.”
“And there is a curious circularity because mathematics underlies physics, physics underlies our understanding of the universe, the universe produces life and brains, brains produce the minds that produce mathematics. Which kind of means that the universe is comprehensible.”
I thought to myself: ‘What a funny idea to think: Which was then first — the universe or the brain?’
“Mind, in some sense, was before matter.”
So, did the mind create the universe? Does that mean that everything exists inside and is purely a creation of my mind? Shit, again? Am I God?
I often play with the idea of cyclical nature of reality (or the universe). And I wonder if there is even supposed to be a finite smallest particle?
I dislike that idea because it sounds too incomprehensible, too finite.
