The Dalai Lama in conversation with Chinese scientists.

We all know that Tibet is heavily being oppressed by China. It’s a cultural war. It’s hierarchical power games. It must be so painful for the Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism, who currently lives in exile in India.

But what does this compassionate man do? He records three days of talking with Chinese scientists about quantum physics in English.

In heaven’s name, why?

I wanna go for a guess. Are you joining me? I’m always happy to hear your thoughts in the comments.

  1. The Dalai Lama knows that the western world idolizes him for his Buddhist, compassionate views. He’s an influencer for future progress
  2. The Dalai Lama wants to give an example. Not all Chinese people are the same. These Chinese scientists are not his oppressors. They are scientists and they are doing mighty important work. Other people can follow his example and be compassionate towards individual people who belong to oppressor groups too
  3. The Dalai Lama thinks we need to know about quantum physics too because it is going to be the most important catalyst for technological change in our decade and beyond
