Where am I heading?
After a month, my vision for my Substack future is becoming beautifully clear. A thoughtful subscriber recently asked me where I intend to take my newsletters, and I’d love to share my plans with you.

I’ve experimented with AI and I’m convinced that these things will play a significant — and nuanced — role in our future. As a writer, I’ve found that while AI can assist with generating ideas, it doesn’t quite capture the essence and emotion that human creativity brings. Crafting meaningful content requires a personal touch that technology can’t replicate — at least, not yet.
I’m not seeing great results from AI, not without a lot of specialised training and prompting, anyway. Enough effort that it’s kind of counterproductive to ask an AI to write anything more…
