Virtual reality has completely changed my life in the most positive way. Before I discovered VR, I struggled with social anxiety and found it difficult to connect with others in person. I was also stuck in a rut, feeling unfulfilled and lacking a sense of purpose. But everything changed when I tried VRChat for the first time. The most popular VR social platform that I dived into is called VRChat.

VRChat is a social VR platform that allows users to interact with each other in virtual environments. It was like a whole new world opened up to me. I first got my virtual reality headset when it was the height of the pandemic era. I couldn’t wait to open the package. Socializing in person wasn’t allowed at the time, and although being inside all day seemed like a great thing in some ways, I still needed some social interaction. I strapped on my Oculus Quest 2 and immediately downloaded VRChat after weeks of playing it on PC.

Suddenly, I was able to interact with others in a way that felt natural and comfortable. I could be anyone I wanted to be and do anything I wanted to do without the fear of judgment or rejection. It was a new world I dreamed about after watching movies such as Ready Player One. Through VRChat, I was able to experience things that I would never have been able to in real life.
