Immortals of Aveum has received a lot of screen time recently with showings at Summer Game Fest, the recent PlayStation Showcase and more.

The game is described by the developer as a ‘single-player first person magic shooter’ and sees the player take control of Jak, an individual who joins The Order of the Immortals to help prevent the fall of Aveum.

The game was set for release in July, but it has just been announced by the developer that they plan to push this back a few weeks, allowing more time to polish the game before launch. The new release date has been set for 22nd August 2023 – just several weeks later than originally intended. The full announcement can be found in this blog post from the Ascendant team.

If these few weeks help the team to deliver a complete game that runs well on all platforms, it can only be beneficial for both the players and the development team.

Immortals of Aveum will now release on 22nd August 2023 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
