This Is What Happened When I Joined Twitter Last Week
Observations on my first impressions of Twitter
I recently created a new Twitter account to supplement my Medium profile last week. My inspiration came from Dr Mehmet Yildiz, who enjoys amplifying the stories of his publications on Twitter.
Even though I joined Twitter over five years ago, my engagement rate was low. However, after reading a few articles about the power of social media from Dr Yildiz, I added Twitter to my content marketing strategy with a new account.
With a decade of experience in social media, primarily focussing on YouTube, Tik Tok, Facebook, Twitch, and Snapchat for my media business, I learned the value of social media in growing our business. Gratefully, within a month, I gained a top writer badge on Medium due to my contributions to the social media topic.
The serendipity factor of social media is attractive to me. I met inspiring people unexpectedly and developed my business relationships with them. I even met YouTube celebrities via social media who visited my country and allowed me to interact with them face to face.
