1 Thing That Should Change With Medium Earnings

Within the last few days, I have read articles from disgruntled or frustrated Medium writers about the lack of earnings or very minimal earnings on a story.
I noticed this with one of my stories. Three members clapped for the story and one commented, yet I have received no earnings for that story to date. The only explanation I can surmise is that the members were being polite by clapping and commenting but they did not spend the required 30 seconds on my story for the claps and comment to result in earnings, per the Medium guidance. So, I added a blurb at the beginning of my story to ask them to remain on the story for 30 seconds for their engagement to count.
