10 Excuses I Use to Avoid Work (And 10 Reasons I’ll Do It Anyway)
Workdays usually do feel like very uphill, and I guess everyone knows it. What would you like to procrastinate over? Now, it’s just about being creative with excuses-you’ll find at least one legitimacy to put things off.
But at the back of my mind, I am not sure at this point that the longer I put off the start, the more difficult it turns into actually a start.

Here are ten of my best excuses to delay doing real work and the honest reasons why I still manage to get it done:
1. “I’ll start after one more coffee.”
Reason to do it anyway: Sure, coffee is a good motivator, but I know it’s not going to do the work for me. The truth is, the sooner I start, the sooner I can enjoy that coffee as a reward for getting some things done.
2. “First, I need to tidy up my workspace.” Justification to do it anyway:
Though one may desire neatness and orderliness, organization can be postponed. A greater amount of time would be consumed in arranging things in place rather than doing work. If I…
