Native Americans have a history of being subject to colonialism and persecution. They have known blood, sacrifice, and loss; but they have also known love, happiness, and peace. For years, many indigenous leaders have voiced their reactions to an ever-paced society, one that gradually detaches itself from the natural world.
Whether it be their innate wisdom or their beautiful culture, part of me has always been drawn to their serene outlook on life. Their connection to the founding blocks of humanity — nature, cannot help but remind me of our link to it, and how easy it is to forget when surrounded by modern distractions.
