1) Economy over people

In the caveman days, there were fewer Humans. We travelled in groups to different places to have our food. We found places where we can eat, sleep and thrive. If it didn’t work, we would find a new place to live. We were nomads.

Fast forward when people started a trade for exchange of goods and food. Few people started being experts in few. Today, countries are opening up their markets despite knowing we are in the middle of a pandemic.

The Agricultural Revolution was history’s biggest fraud. Who was responsible? Neither kings, nor priests, nor merchants. The culprits were a handful or plant species, including wheat, rice and potatoes. These plants domesticated Homo Sapiens, rather than vice versa. — Yural Noah Harari

We are so dependent on the economy that we have no choice but to open up the markets. This is because we are so overpopulated that we can’t run from our current place nor make our food by ourselves.
