Most of the times we feel stuck, we do not have the courage to move on to new things that could be better for us, mentally, financially, physically and even emotionally. I have realised these 2 things can be what is standing between you and ‘success’, and I would like to share them with you.

  1. Just start

It doesn’t matter what goal you have, whatever it is, just start. Just start doing something, anything at all, towards achieving that goal. The thing is, if you do not start, then nothing will happen. Years from now you will look back, and you will be at the exact same place, complaining about the exact same thing, at this point, you will be the one holding yourself back.

Lets say, you want to embark on a weight loss journey. Just start! It doesn’t have to be a long strenuous cardio workout, it could be a few minutes of walking in the house, it could be in the hallway, or from the kitchen to your bedroom 10 times every day, for a start, or even 5 times!

This applies to anything, from starting a business, homeschooling, learning a skill, you just have to start. Do not overthink anything. Do not worry about what peope will say. Do not be scared of making mistakes, its all part of the process.

2. Be consistent

Small steps every day get you there. Gradually you will gain momentum and you will want to do more. You will get motivation by seeing the progress of your work. If there is no consistency, there wont be progress. Whats the point of starting if you are not going to make progress? This will be discouraging and you will stop almost immediately because you don’t see progress.

I’m saying progress here instead of results because it takes a long time to see the results we want. So we might not all of a sudden make sales in the business, but you will see, for example, a steady increase in your social media following. You will not lose all the weight at once but you might notice some clothes fitting looser. No matter how small, do not ignore it or belittle it, it is progress!

However, staying consistent is very difficult and that is where most people fall short. So, this is when we need to push even stronger and continue, despite the discouragement, despite no sales, just keep pushing! Remain consistent! It will pay off.

Just start, remain consistent, and achieve your goals. You owe that to yourself, and it is only you who can do it, for you.
