2024- A Short Recap
Covering my past year of blogging in a capsule and also a throwback to my posts of this year. I write about Sociopolitics, elections, international relations, law, technology, MUN, etc. Enlisting a few achievements, milestones, and anecdotes.
2024 was indeed a happening and a consequential year for me. I will be summarising three of my achievements for the year. Firstly, I secured a full-time job. Second, I travelled to 9 countries raising my total tally to 11. Thirdly, I got three of my research articles published in reputed journals.
2024, was known as the year of elections, hence it should have ideally been a gala year for me. But the situation isn't as simple as that. I was too involved in a lot of different things. From a blogging perspective, 2024 was much harder at least from my perspective. Also to note that my engagement in medium and overall blogging took a back seat too. Still, somehow, I managed to put together a decent show here.
2024 started quite differently for me. I went to the Kerala Literature Festival in Kozhikode where I was able to meet a lot of authors and involve myself in various panel discussions, delicious food, and much more. This was one heck of an event I attended after a long time.
But beyond this, I could not make much progress in reading and writing. I was already missing my college in terms of reading. Ever since I started working, my productivity has dropped significantly. Somehow I manage to keep up with all the stuff that I do. Hence, I would sum up 2024 as a mix of both good events and an inability to push boundaries.
Writing in 2024
AI is slowly creeping into all forms of content with writing and blogging as the most affected fields. As I am still very old-fashioned, I do not use AI for writing or blogging.
The medium continues to be a tough nut for me, especially with the stats, algorithms and lower reach for my articles.
