3 Ways to Finish This Year Strong

As this year comes to a close, you may be tempted to call it a wrap and focus on a fresh start January 1st. Halloween candy, stuffing at Thanksgiving, and pumpkin pie should still be enjoyed.

You have more than 2 months left to make some changes that can snowball into big gains heading into the new year.

Here are 3 ways you can still finish this year strong

Walking

This one is free and can be done in one bout or throughout the day. You don’t have to walk 10,000 steps but aiming for a minimum of 4,000 steps can show benefits to your health. You will also be able to think and reflect on everything going on.

I aim for 6,000 to 10,000 steps per day regardless of how busy I am. Once this becomes a habit, you’ll look forward to it and do it automatically. It will become a nightly ritual to check your smartwatch and see how many steps you got in.

Quitting something

Why wait till New Year’s like everyone else to try and quit something. Give yourself a 2 month head start. Quit smoking. Drinking. Gossiping. Spending money. Eating junk. Spending 5 hours a day on your phone.
