1. Brain Has No Challenge?

How often do you challenge your brain? Did you know that failing to engage in brain-stimulating activities can result in decreased functionality of our brain?

According to the National Institute of Aging, older people who take part in brain-stimulating activities like reading have increased cognitive functions compared to those who don’t.

People who take part in challenging activities develop new neurons and strengthen existing connections that help in increased productivity of the brain.

So be sure to challenge your brain once in a while!

2. Lack Of Water

We hear everywhere and every time to drink water but does water really affect our brain?

Well, our brain is made up of 85% water and studies have shown that dehydration can cause the cells in our brain to shrink.

Dehydration can also cause reduced blood flow to the brain which hinders the oxygen and nutrient delivery to the brain which results in reduced brain functions.

Be sure to have a water bottle by your side. A good amount is to drink 8 glasses of water every day.

3. Multitasking

Although multitasking has become integral in today’s world, it can be bad for your brain.

Different people deal with multitasking differently. While some are good at it others may find it difficult.

Multitasking causes reduced attention span of an individual and difficulty in processing information. This also results in poor memory.

It is best to focus on one thing at a time as it will likely increase the quality of your work and the functions of your brain.

4. Too Much Screen Time

Are you one of those people who always stare at a screen even if you are finished with work?

Well….I may have some bad news for you.

Think about how much time you spend on electronic devices every day. Excessive use of electronic devices can damage your eyes and change the structure of your brain.

Studies have shown that people who have been exposed to more than 7 hours a day to screen time have reduced cognitive functions.

So in your free time, go for a walk, read a book, and talk with people around you. You will enjoy a more peaceful life and increased brain functions.

I hope I saved your brain from losing some of its functions lol. Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day!
