In 1707, the reign of Queen Anne started in Great Britain.

She was born in 1665 as a child to the brother of the current King Charles II.

Anne became Queen of Britain after her sister Mary and her husband William III of Orange had died.

Here are four things about Queen Anne that you didn’t know.

1. Anne Felt Sympathy For The Conservatives

It’s unusual nowadays for Monarchs to speak about their political preferences in the media, but Queen Anne slightly preferred the Tory Party.

The reasons behind it were simple: she was raised as an Anglican, a popular church in England.

2. She Got Pregnant Over 15 Times

The Queen of Britain didn’t have any luck when it came to having children at all. Even though she got pregnant 17 times, none of her children would live long.
