China has a rich culture shaped by great thinkers. It is impossible to talk about Eastern Philosophy without Chinese thinkers.

Chinese Philosophy has influenced the masses since 600 B.C., and it continues to do so even today as most of the values, religious beliefs, traditions, morals, ethics, and festivals popular in the region can be traced back to ancient Chinese Philosopher or Saint.

4 giants who had the massive impact, are discussed as follows:

Confucius

Confucius is the most influential person in Chinese history. His sayings and ideas were collected by his followers in The Analects after his death. Some of his sayings are still very famous like, Do not do unto others what you don’t want to be done to yourself.

At the heart of his work lies the premise that people should put the needs of their family and community first.

Confucius’ work lays great stress on traditional values such as following rituals, ethics for social interactions, ceremonial activities (wedding vows, Birthday get together with family), reverence for parents, ancestors, and respect for elderly and noble people in the society.
