4 Tips You Need to Trick Your Brain into Becoming a Morning Person
Do you want to know the secret to beat procrastination?
It was on a snowy morning, in mid-January 2022 that I decided to give the early morning rise a try. I had slept in all day and missed an important appointment with one of my suppliers.
I have always prided myself as a punctual and diligent person. Any sign of failure messes up my self-esteem.
When I woke by 7 pm and checked my phone to see the missed calls and texts from my supplier saying how disappointed he was with me for standing him up, I was ashamed to return his call.
What was I going to tell him? That I slept like a log of wood and didn’t hear my phone ring?
Of course not. That would have been more embarrassing. This was my first time doing business with the supplier. I was supposed to give a good impression and I screwed up.
Mistakes are intolerable when you are a perfectionist. I used to wake up at 10 am because I would sleep late. I liked doing the morning tasks at night so I would go to the office late after enjoying my beautiful morning sleep.
Whenever it rains or snows, I don’t like getting up early. Cozying up under my blanket during this period is irresistible.
