5,000 Followers On Medium At Age 13
Sleepless nights finally paid off!
13 — Such a lucky number. Every time I use that in my headlines, the number of my followers skyrockets. But still, I’ve used it only two times on my account.
Why? — Because I’m more than my age.
When I was in kindergarten, my teacher told me that it’s a number to count the years of a person on earth.
And I still perceive it as a number, nothing more than that.
This article isn’t your daily “become-medius-famous” story.
I publish those once a week.
Today, I’m here to talk with you heart-to-heart.
Here’s what I’ve to say -
I see most of you who I’d met first on Medium had already quit.
But, I’m glad that I didn’t.
You’re the only one who knows my real name.
The day I was beginning to use a pen name was so stressful.
But since people found my real name hard to remember, I did it anyways.
In the last 6 months, I’ve seen what I can be if don’t quit. I’m loving my soul more than ever. If even you take these 5,000 followers from me today, I won’t be worried.
I know I can achieve more than that with my hard work and dedication.
I’m loving myself in every way. I guess Medium was just a part of the process. All I needed was to see my actual potential.
Now, I won’t have those mental breakdowns again.
I know I’m always where I should be in life at any given time.
My age doesn’t get in my way anymore. In fact, people are so supportive. I get extra help from people because of my age. Winning over the imposter syndrome is all that it takes.
We all can do research, write better headlines, and get more followers. But none of that matters, if you don’t believe in yourself.
And, you believe it when you see it.
So, don’t quit.
Maybe something huge is waiting just a few steps ahead of you.
That’s the only thing I can share today.
Choose a goal, work for it and see where the process takes you.
Go with the flow.
It’s the slogan of my life.
And yeah, always keep improving, otherwise, you’ll end up in mediocrity.
So, thanks for all the love and support. I’m grateful you read my work. I will keep writing and you’ll keep reading.
