As an undergraduate student, managing my time between extracurriculars, keeping assignment deadlines in check, staying focused, and being creative has always been overwhelming. Over the years, I tried different apps to assist me, but I’ll keep this article short and give you the hands-down 5 best apps that helped me navigate my student life easily and efficiently!

1. Notion

Notion is more than just a note-taking app. With Notion, I curated my itineraries, traveling checklists, everyday journal logs, to-do lists, managed projects, and took notes(this list can go on forever)— all within a single platform. Notion’s sleek design and powerful features truly transform the way one works and collaborates. You can create your workspace designs if you like them personalized like me or find different templates that would work for you. My first choice whenever I want to keep work tabs and stay up to date with my tasks!

2. LifeAt Spaces

Staying true to ‘Achieve more, feel better’, I experienced productivity and well-being increase every time I worked with this app. Task management, To-do lists, Pomodoro timer, Virtual spaces, Co-working — you name it and it is there. I mostly used this for virtual spaces with the Pomodoro timer to level up my concentration level and calm. This app amplified my sitting hours, and my productivity to levels I couldn’t believe. It has a large pool of virtual spaces to choose from with voice-overs. A must check out!

3. Evernote

Evernote revolutionizes productivity with its versatile digital notebook. It seamlessly captures ideas, tasks, and information across devices. I could organize notebooks, tags, and smart searches effortlessly. Plus, you can access them even if you’re offline. One of its features that makes my work so much easier is the Web Clipper feature which saves web pages and annotates them. I stayed on time with reminders, to-do lists, and document scanning and collaborated seamlessly by sharing notes and integrating other tools. Evernote is your ultimate productivity companion!

4. Todoist

Todoist has transformed the way I manage tasks and projects. This powerful yet simple app allows me to create tasks, set deadlines, and prioritize assignments effortlessly. With features like recurring tasks and project categorization, Todoist ensures that nothing falls through the cracks. Its seamless synchronization across devices means that I can stay organized whether I’m on my laptop, smartphone, or tablet.

5. Forest

In a world filled with distractions, Forest has been my saving grace when it comes to staying focused and productive. This app, again, employs the Pomodoro Technique. As you focus, a virtual tree grows in the app. If you give in to your temptations and leave the app to check social media or browse the web, your tree withers away. Forest not only helps me stay focused during study sessions but also promotes environmental awareness by allowing users to plant real trees through in-app purchases. Entirely optional but it feels good to see a tree growing!
