5 Things In The Bible That Don’t Make Sense At All
I was brought up in the church. I grew up catholic. Part of my socialisation involved going to church every Sunday and saying the rosary every day. I read the Bible frequently and was trained to never question the word of God as he was all-knowing and his word was holy and true.
People who held a different opinion were evil and would burn in hell for eternity. I was told. That scared me.
But now that I am free of that fear and can use logic and reason to come up with my own conclusions. And after listening and reading widely on the subject, here are a few things in the Bible that don’t make sense to me.
- God preaching forgiveness but couldn’t forgive Adam and Eve his most important creation once! Instead of forgiving them for their transgressions, he threw them out of the garden of Eden after their very first mistake. What’s that all about?
2. Cain according to the Bible went to the next village called Nod and found a wife who bore him a son. If they were the first children on earth because Adam and Eve according to the Bible were the first people on earth, where did this wife come from?
3. Why would God kill innocent children when he killed all the firstborns of the Egyptians? What crime had they committed? They say he is a just God, don’t they? Why would…
