It is no lie that many of us have lost our jobs, or have less income due to the world’s current situation. Nevertheless, we are indeed living in the Digital Era and therefore the possibilities are endless; even when it comes to making money.

So, because quarantine had me panicking, I did some research about ways to make money from home, and now I want to share with you some legit web pages (and no, they have nothing to do with printing t-shirts or making youtube videos) that may help you make some extra income fast during these hard times. All you need is a computer and some free time… and who are we kidding, we have lots of that now.

1. Patreon

Yeah, yeah, I know I said no selling, but this ain’t the same thing. I bet you’ve heard about onlyfans before, well, this is very similar.

I personally use Patreon. In my free time, I like taking boudoir photography and shooting pictures, so that’s what I offer on my page. I technically found something I’d do for free, and charged a couple of bucks to people who actually wanted to support my art. I ended up self-publishing my poetry book Cafeína y Nicotina (no English version yet guys, I’m sorry!) thanks to my Patreon income, and trust me, publishing in my home country is not cheap.

If you yourself have any hobby, talent, or even just some worthy content that might get some supporters, I recommend starting a Patreon account! Take advantage of all those new recipes you’ve been creating during lock-up, or that new skill you learned, and charge for your content.

They make daily payments, and earnings will depend directly on how many supporters you have and how much you are charging those supporters; they do charge a minimum fee from your earnings, but it is nothing tragic. You will just need a paypal account and you are ready to go.

If you would like me to make a more detailed article about Patreon, its features, or some tips, leave a comment down below.

2. Filling Surveys

Calm down, I’ll link some web pages below, but first, let me get you rolling about how this works. I honestly have never used any of these, because they are just not my type, but I do know these are legit pages that will reward you with Amazon cards or transfer money through PayPal just for filling surveys and giving your opinions.

A) Google Opinion Reward

What’s more legit than Google? This article some may say.

As easy as registering and start filling surveys, they reward you depending on how many opinions you give. There’s no limit on how many surveys you can access daily and I believe they pay weekly.

B) Survey Junkie

Pretty much the same as Google Rewards. By filling surveys you will collect points that will later be exchanged for money. There’s no limit, you’ll earn money depending on your will to keep filling surveys. You will need a verified PayPal account to get your cash, or get your rewards through Amazon cards.

By sharing your opinion, you’d be helping brands make better products and content… just like an influencer!

C) Zap Surveys

Zap Surveys is not really a web page, but an app instead. Therefore, if you have no computer or would rather just use a smartphone, this option is the most suitable for you.

This app offers over ten different ways to cash out your money and will pay you $6.25 on your first survey! Yes, as easy as it sounds. Just download the app, and start making straight money by filling surveys.

3. Web Testing

I found over 12 sites that are willing to pay you by testing web pages, so if you believe you would enjoy web testing I encourage you to do some more research on all of the available options for you online. I’ll share with you a couple that I came across and really liked.

A) User Testing

User Testing can pay up to $60 per test and aside from paying you for your service as a tester, they recruit people for their internal jobs and some of them are available from home!

They are partnered with some of the most important global brands and you get paid around $10 for every 20 minute survey you complete. You’ll receive your payment through PayPal seven days after completing the test.

B) TryMyUI

Websites, apps, and sometimes even games, you get paid for testing them. They will reward you with $10 for every test completed and every test may take around 20 minutes. Which means, you might earn $60 for just two hours of work.

Your opinions will be graded and reviewed by them to clear your tests for payment. They send cash through PayPal every Friday.

4. Freelancing and Services

From being a Virtual Assistant to translating or making designs, you are able to lend your services for money.

If you know different languages, there are many pages that pay you solely for translating documents from one language to the other, so you may want to search a little bit more about this online. If you don’t, there are many freelance job positions that might suit you and your abilities.

A) OneSpace

There are many different types of job positions available on OneSpace, you just have to find one that you’ll enjoy and get paid daily for doing it.

Even though this is a little bit more formal, and you might be working directly with clients sometimes, it’s is a great option if you are looking to update your resumé and add some certified experiance.

You’ll earn money for every assigned project you complete, and you can cash out your earnings daily as long as your projects are approved.

B) UpWork

This is a talent-based page. You are required to build a profile depending on the service you are going to provide and they will connect brands with freelancers. You are also given the option to choose your projects, but these are highly on demand by other professionals and it might get hard sometimes.

I recommend UpWork if you are a very experienced professional or a very skilled creative who is willing to take on the responsibility of achieving projects on time.

This site offers a couple of different ways to cash out, even direct deposit.

5. Transcribing

This is the best option for the fast typers. I wanted to choose this as an extra income but turns out my nails won’t let me write as fast as I know I can. There are more than a few pages that will pay for transcriptions, so you can try a couple. They will all most likely make you go through a couple of tests to see if you are capable of fulfilling their requirements (which are not that extravagant, to be honest). Only things you need are basic English speaking comprehension, being capable to write down what you hear, and some headphones or earbuds for better results.

A) Scribie

Scribie pays somewhere around $0.50 to $0.80 per video minute, and videos are usually ten to twenty minutes long. On average, a video pays out somewhere around $5 to $25.

There’s no limit on how many videos you can transcribe in a day, it will depend on how fast you type and complete the task. As a reward, they’ll pay out $5 bonus for every three hours working for them.

B) QA-World

This is one of the transcribing sites which is actually easiest to start working for, some of them will make you go through a long testing phase before you can actually start working and making some cash (when I say long I mean a couple of hours, but never more than a day). On the other side, this is also the page which pays the least, but videos are usually short and you can accumulate money fast if you invest your time into it.

You’ll get paid every Wednesday through PayPal, and your account must be verified before they transfer your money.

C) Rev

Aside from transcribing, Rev also has the option to become a captioner and a translation captioner which actually pays a little bit more, but also requires a little bit more of effort.

They pay up to $1.10 per video minute for transcriptions and a little bit more if you enroll into any of the other options. Like the other pages, you get your money through PayPal every Monday.

7. Language Tutor

No, you don’t have to make a course, or elaborate complicated class activities, you actually don’t even have to be a teacher or tutor. As long as you are a native English speaker, these web pages pay you for chatting and having common day to day conversations with people around the world. You will basically get money for meeting new people and help them communicate in your language.

I chose this myself, and it’s fun and easy. The most complicated part is making an introduction video for your possible students to see if you fit as their new “tutor”. Fun Fact: I’m not even a native English speaker; if you’re advanced and conversational enough, you’re ready to start!

A) Cambly

Your students will mainly be Asian kids, who are honestly so sweet and cute. Classes last somewhere around thirty minutes and an hour. You get paid $10 for every hour of class you submit.

You will be need a video calling app such as FaceTime or Skype to give your classes and good internet. The point of it all is being able to listen to the conversation, correct them and let them listen to you speak fluently.

Cambly lets you work up to 20 hours a week; if you organize yourself accordingly and invest 4 hours every day for five days, you’ll be earning around $200 a week, which is way more than most of us make in a week.

B) Italki

This is the one I personally chose, because it gives you the option to teach and learn more than one language, which means more possible hours of work, which results in more money.

If you know more than one language, this might be the best option for you, too.

You’ll be given the option to work with children, which pays a little bit more than just adults, the catch is children are expecting to be handed homework or some guidelines for parents to verify the improvements.

Also, if you are actually a certified teacher or tutor, there’s an option for you to work as a Professional Tutor and can earn a lot more than social tutors.

I hope you find this article helpful and are able to make some extra cash, especially after the stressful times we are going through. If you know any other pages or methods to earn money online, please share in the comment section for the benefit of everyone.
