To many people, Markus Persson might be better known as Notch.

Perrson is a game developer from Sweden. Since he started coding, he created a lot of video games.
One of those he created left the world of games changed — Minecraft.
The game with the blocks and without any real mission is extremely popular and one of the world's best selling video games.

At the end of 2014, he left Minecraft. The whole company behind it was sold to Microsoft. Notch received $2.5 billion.²

An amount enough for the end of all days. At least materially — yet for him, this does not seem to have been the key to happiness.

Here’s what the reasons might be and why we need to change our notion of financial success.

The feeling of having had everything already

Notch describes his lifestyle in Ibiza, and it is an absolute privilege. With the money he earned from Minecraft's sale, he bought a house on Ibiza, among other things, and spends a lot of time there.
