A Curious Window of Powerful Manifestation Opens in the Wake of Grief
From first-hand, observational field research, one to three years after a loss, grievers enter a window of acute manifestation power.
From 2020–2023, nearly everyone in my life was grieving. My two roommates each lost a parent in the same year. My parents also each lost a parent, my father his father, and my mother her mother. In the same 2–3 year time frame, another one of my closest friend’s mother passed away. And more recently, another friend lost his brother.
I was surrounded by grief. But notably, for the most part, it was other people’s grief.
If it hadn’t happened in such rapid succession, I might have missed it, something that occurred ubiquitously across the observed data set (i.e., my loved ones): Roughly 1.5 to 3 years after a loved one’s passing, the mourners began to manifest.
It wasn’t just in theory. It was playing out right in front of me in full-blown, 3D technicolor.
