Have you ever thought about changing something about your life? If so, you’re not alone. Many people have goals of losing weight, saving money, learning new skills, etc. and if you’re like most people, you probably thought that would require long, tedious, and difficult work to achieve those goals. But what if there was a way to reach those goals in less time with less effort? What if your goals were actually simple things that you already knew how to do? That’s where Kaizen comes in!

The philosophy behind kaizen

Kaizen ( 改善 ) is a philosophy about constant and never-ending improvement. To live life kaizen means to make small changes on a regular basis that add up to big results over time. In practice, it looks like taking one step forward while you’re moving two steps back. Instead of making drastic changes all at once, kaizen asks you to make incremental improvements by gradually changing your approach in order to achieve an ultimate goal. And while there is a lot of research that shows kaizen can be incredibly effective for improving productivity and company culture, applying its principles can improve our lives in other ways too.
