A Paradox So Sweet

Darkness cannot conquer a minute, obscure light

Darkness can not drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate can not drive out hate: only love can do that.” — Martin Luther King Jr.

Such a fascination
A joyful captivation
This revelation obvious
To many, I am sure

Epiphany dawns on my heart
A paradox so sweet
Arises offers promise:
Light overcomes the Dark

Darkness cannot conquer
A minute, obscure light
Though lonely, it may be
Light pursues its holy quest

It perseveres and it achieves
What light will always do:
Brightens up the shadows
And vanquishes the dark

A special thanks to Dr. Mehmet Yildiz for creating Illumination.
