A Recipe for Better Meditation
Brewed mood and attitudes

One of the ways I find to enhance the meditative process and shorten the time needed to quiet thoughts enough to connect to One Consciousness is by having a cup of bush tea* before sitting in meditation. Today we share the first in our series of brews: Meditation Mood.
Ingredients:
5 leaves of fresh holy basil
2 blades of fresh lemongrass
1 teaspoon grated turmeric
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1.5 cups of water
Directions:
Add the water to a small pan with the turmeric and ginger, cover, and bring to a full boil. Turn off the heat, remove the lid and add the basil and lemongrass leaves. Recover tightly and allow the leaves to steep in the boiled water.
After 5 minutes, strain into a container that can hold the entire brew. Measure out one cup, add it to your favourite mug and enjoy. The rest you can reheat and have after your meditation session.
Try it with no sweetener, if you can. You will be amazed at the different flavours that dance across your tongue, not masked by sugar or anything else.
Note — Make sure it is safe for you to use turmeric and ginger, meaning ask your health professional first.
Assurance — your meditation session will be like one you never had before.
Guarantee — Enjoyable.
*Tea made from herbal and medicinal plants found in the tropical Caribbean and other parts of the world. We call it bush tea since it's tea made from bush (leaves).
