I typically refrain from writing negative reviews like this, but after over a decade with Quiver Digital (the distribution arm of Premiere Digital Services) and seeing almost no feedback online, I feel compelled to share my experience. My goal is to always help other filmmakers avoid the pitfalls I’ve encountered.

Quiver Digital advertises itself as a way for independent filmmakers like myself to distribute our own films across various channels. Over 10 years ago, I uploaded my first film “Nerve.” It was simple enough. There was a helpful team and good communication at that point, but it’s been downhill ever since.

The worst part is their abysmal communication and support. There are no phone numbers to call, and email responses literally take weeks. Actually, I’ve emailed certain departments multiple times without a single response. When someone finally does respond, they can be rude and unprofessional.

With such poor communication and an inability to update information on the site, simple tasks like updating my banking information or address is a nightmare. The screenshot below shows what happens when I try updating these fields. “Please reach out to your Business/Quiver contact??” I was never given such a contact. Maybe this was a new thing introduced recently?

Anyway, I’ve lost many payments due to this incorrect banking information on their end (I still haven’t seen these payments.) Not only that, but their platform for filmmakers to keep track of payments is extremely “bare-bones,” with lots of bugs and poor transparency.

It’s like they’re going out of business... But they aren’t. They’re still advertising their services.

Anyway, I‘m finally taking my film off the platform and starting over with Filmhub. They seem to offer multiple ways to get in touch with their staff quickly, and their website UI is intuitive, transparent and innovative. FYI, they are not paying me to write this article.

If you’re an independent filmmaker looking for a platform to distribute your work, I strongly recommend not using Quiver Digital. Save yourself the headache and avoid them at all costs.
