“Coffee is the best thing to douse the sunrise with.”- Drew Sirtors.

Coffee is a drink that not only refreshes people’s minds but also charms them. The history of coffee is vibrant and fascinating. Today we will shed some light on this and discuss how drinking coffee has become a symbol of beauty and elegance.

The Origin and History

Wild coffee plants are believed to have originated in an Ethiopian plateau region. They are known as Kefa (Kaffa). A legend says that a goatherd named Kaldi discovered coffee when he noticed his flock behaving unusually after eating the berries from an evergreen bush. Intrigued, Kaldi took some samples of the berries and experienced a sense of exhilaration. This discovery occurred around 850 CE.

Coffee cultivation was introduced to southern Arabia, particularly Yemen, where it took root and flourished. Sufi monks were the first ones to brew coffee as a beverage. Then this drink slowly becomes famous among the Arabs and their neighbors, giving rise to coffeehouses. During the 16th century, coffeehouses became popular meeting places where people gathered to converse, play games, discuss politics, and enjoy drinks. These places were often called “Schools of Wisdom” due to the diverse clientele they attracted.

Symbol of Beauty and Elegance

A cup of coffee symbolizes vitality, accomplishment, and energy. Long ago, only the privileged had the opportunity to enjoy it. Over time, anyone can drink it. After a long day, coffee provides well-earned rest and a comforting reward for individuals who pour their hearts into their passions. Offering a cup of coffee showcases kindness and generosity. It also creates an atmosphere of comfort and welcome with people from all walks of life.

“Whether you brew it meticulously or simply grab a quick sip, coffee becomes the “nail you can hang the day on.” It’s that comforting bridge between sleep and wakefulness, where each sip is like Goldilocks finding the perfect porridge — neither too hot nor too cold” - Ron Padgett.

The journey from bean to cup makes a day more beautiful for a coffee lover. Coffee energizes people to tackle challenges and work. A sip of coffee is often considered a companion that fuels our days. There is a rhythm of life and magic in the sip of coffee.
