A Visit

A Love Poem

Canva-Photo by Tookapic

She stopped by
for a visit,
dressed as a butterfly,
fragile of heart,
soul of beauty.
I listened to
the burst of words
flowing from her lips
and felt the breeze
of love brush
against my cheek.
So much is remembered
in the heart,
but lost in a veil
of daily tasks.
I smile at the thought
of holding her in
my arms and feeling
the touch of her fingers
in my brown hair.
