Before I started writing this post I visited ArtStation where many artist are trying to push the anti-AI Art movement forward also where I copied the image above from, the situation seem pretty tensed which popped the question in my head “Is AI Art really valuable or is it necessary”.

If you come to think of it art has always been a reflection of human creativity and ingenuity, but with the advent of AI Art, the boundaries of what constitutes art are being pushed further than ever before. AI art is a form of computer-generated art that uses algorithms to create images or whatever art means to you. However, the question remains, is AI art worth it?

On the one hand, AI art offers exciting possibilities that would have been impossible to achieve through traditional art techniques. For instance, AI algorithms can analyze large datasets and use this information to create unique and complex visualizations that would take human artists years to complete. AI art can also help break down barriers between different forms of art, allowing artists to combine different mediums and techniques to create something truly unique.

However, there are also some concerns about the rise of AI art. Some argue that AI art is a threat to traditional art forms, and that it could ultimately replace human artists altogether. While this might seem far-fetched, there is no denying that AI algorithms are becoming increasingly sophisticated, and it’s possible that they could one day be capable of creating art that rivals that of human artists which brings us to the reason why I visited ArtStation.

Many people have tried to voice their concerns regarding the effects of this new technology on human artist which lead to the campaign of fighting back against the unethical practices happening in the AI text-to-image space, I will append a screenshot of the information I found on a GoFundMe page.

GoFundMe page for Concept Art Association

This GoFundMe was created by the Concept Art Association, they are an organization committed to elevating and raising the profile of concept artists, their art, and their involvement in the entertainment industries. and they are helping fight against AI generated works that infringe the copyright of all concerned artist, so I went ahead to check out their site to understand their mission and vision, and you too can help support their fight that they are taking to DC.
