There are so many people out there who are afraid to lose their jobs because of AI.

It is now a fact that AI models have the potential to accomplish certain tasks and this will kill certain jobs in its process. I read an article yesterday that ChatGPT was able to crack three job interviews in which one was the job of a coder at google with a pay of around $187,000!!!!

It is true that with the advancements in science, tech, and AI, there were immense job opportunities created such as development and maintenance, data analysis, and ethical hacking, and all were related to AI.

But now the tables have turned!!

Now AI has come to take up our jobs. As ChatGPT becomes more capable and innovative, the fear of losing jobs is smoking up. Well, let me make a note of the jobs that can be easily consumed by ChatGPT —

  • Writers, Ghost Writers: We are at the cutting edge, not the creative writers but writers like us who are into personalized or general content creation. I feel ChatGPT is made for writing content and creating documents with the best from all sources in it. This can also make copywriters’ jobs become outdated anytime.
  • Customer Services: The customer care service tasks such as answering basic questions and providing the customer with required information can now be handled with chatbots!! The result will be that the job of customer service representatives may become unwanted, especially in industries where customer interaction is repetitive. Benefit as we all know — chatbots can work 24/7 without the need for food, water, or sick days or holidays!!!

Some other jobs at the risk are:

  • Translation and Interpretation Services
  • Developers
  • Law Practitioners
  • Data Entry

However, it’s important to keep in mind that ChatGPT and other AI models are not capable of replacing human jobs in their entirety.

There are still many tasks that require human intelligence and creativity, and the potential impact of ChatGPT on the job market is a complex issue that deserves careful consideration.

What exactly is ChatGPT?

ChatGPTs, or conversation-generated text prediction, is a type of artificial intelligence (Al) that reads text and programs an automated response. It is becoming increasingly popular in a range of contexts, from customer service requests to chatbots stimulating human conversations. Recent advances in natural language processing (NLP) have made this type of Al more reliable, efficient, and much more capable than we can ever imagine it to be!!

But talking about writing, especially creative writing, it isn't just about throwing words onto a page and hoping for the best — it's an art based on storytelling, narrative, and expressing emotions.

ChatGPT, though it might be able to generate some of the pieces needed to construct a story, needs to catch up when it comes to weaving them together.

Unlike humans, ChatGPTs don’t have any understanding of emotion or the ability to critique their own output. As a result, their writing will lack nuance and be predictable, making it difficult to empathize or connect with the message, meaning it will have little to no effect on its readers.

A lack of creativity, originality and a deeper understanding of context will make it difficult for ChatGPTs to stand out as storytellers, especially since writing is all about connecting with an audience and establishing a real relationship with them.

The addition of multiple authors brings more ideas and perspectives to the story, adding greater depth and complexity which ChatGPTs simply cannot replicate.

While ChatGPTs have come a long way in recent years, they are not yet able to provide a truly human level of creative writing. Not only do they lack the creative flair and empathy required, but they are also unable to collaborate and fit in with the bigger picture in the same way as an author.

Creative writing is about creating stories, characters, and settings to bring a unique perspective to life and that’s something artificial intelligence could never achieve. Writing is a craft that requires complex thinking, imagination, and knowledge of language and grammar.

AI technology can be used to enhance creative writing, but it would never be able to completely replace it.
