Bla Bla Bla!!!

Let’s cut the crap! I have tried them all. Honestly, none works. This bloody dopamine does not listen to the easy solutions. It always gets triggered for the notifications, for the screen light. But, I have found the solution —

The AIRPLANE MODE!!! Yes, you read this right. The Airplane Mode of your cellphone.

No, I am not asking you to book a flight and fly somewhere.

For many people, activating Airplane Mode may seem counterproductive because it disconnects them from their usual network connections that keep their phone and other devices updated with the latest app information. But does this really mean that switching to Airplane Mode makes you less productive?

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s not uncommon to feel overwhelmed with the constant barrage of notifications and distractions from our electronic devices. Whether it’s emails, social media, or text messages, it can be challenging to stay focused on our work or daily tasks.

When you turn on airplane mode, you’re essentially putting your device (as well as your mind) in a “quiet” mode, free from any incoming messages, calls, or notifications.

Here are a few reasons why airplane mode is the best productivity tool:

  1. Eliminates Distractions

When you turn on airplane mode, you eliminate all incoming notifications, which means you won’t be interrupted by your device. This can be incredibly useful when you’re trying to focus on a task, whether it’s studying for an exam, writing an article, or working on a project. With no distractions, you’ll be able to work more efficiently and effectively, making the most of your time.

2. Saves Battery Life — Both yours and your phone’s

Since your device isn’t using any wireless communication, it’s not constantly searching for a signal, which can drain your battery. This is especially useful when you’re traveling or in a place with limited access to power outlets.

3. Promotes Mindfulness

By turning on airplane mode, you’re making a conscious decision to disconnect from the digital world and focus on the present moment. This can promote mindfulness, a state of active awareness that can help reduce stress and increase productivity. By taking a break from your devices, you’ll have a chance to reflect, recharge, and refocus on your priorities.

4. Helps with Sleep

Lastly, airplane mode can help with sleep. The blue light emitted by electronic devices can disrupt your circadian rhythm and make it difficult to fall asleep. By turning on airplane mode, you’ll reduce the amount of blue light exposure and improve your chances of getting a good night’s rest.

Hope these are good enough reasons! However, if your daily phone usage is more than 3 hours, due to whatever reasons, I personally recommend you to try the “Pomodoro Technique”.
