After its four-week streak leading all movies, the “Alien” movie was good enough to knock off “Deadpool and Wolverine” as the highest-grossing film last week. “Alien” pulled in $108 million worldwide.
Let me say, the movie was no comparison to the other four “Alien” movies. It is great to see “Alien” on the big screen, but something about it didn’t have the same feel as the other films. One of my friends liked the movie, but I hoped for more.
The story was okay but as a sci-fi film, I wanted to see more. Maybe I am asking for too much.
Growing up, I spent a lot of time watching movies on VHS since I worked at a video store for two years while in high school.
But I remember watching Sigourney Weaver in “Alien” which came out in 1979. She had a starring role and the Alien had a bigger role in the movies. “Romulus” was good, but it was no comparison to the earlier versions.
