Aliens

a Poem

Photo by Donald Giannatti on Unsplash

The Aliens know
that we are here

I’ve seen them hover
and gaze

The Aliens know
that we suffer

I know they do

Then why don’t they
intervene?

Surely, they could
help us

But perhaps
they cannot

But say they can
if they wanted to
then why
why, why, why
do they let
us happen

The way we happen:
Greed
Hatred
Delusion

War, famine, illness
Pain
Sex
Death

Why do they not
intervene?

It’s forbidden…
