Well, guys and gals, lots of news to report, some to do with writing and some not.

For example, today, I have launched a new pub called The Sex Doll Files and have moved all my posts on that subject from Illumination to that new publication. The reason is that I have realised that it is somewhat niche and perhaps not to everybody’s taste. It’s not that there is anything of an offensive nature about the posts, which there isn’t. It’s just that it seems to be a touchy subject for some, and I am not here to offend anyone.

Some things had nothing to do with writing including the discovery that although Mount Fuji is 180km from where we live, by car. It is 151.7km away as the crow flies from our road, and on a clear day, we can see it as clear as a bell. Amazing.

Another thing that gave me cause to pause was what happened when my wife and I recently accompanied her mother to a clinic for eye surgery. At the end of the day, we went for a meal and the food was lovely. My dish was fresh lobster claws and a variety of shellfish and battered cod, all on a bed of pasta.

At the end of the meal, the waiter came and asked how the food was and I said “Oishi,” which is Japanese for “delicious.” My lovely mother-in-law decided to add her comment, and I have to say the woman reduced me and her…
