An Earth Angel Who Longed to Fly
A poem about a beautiful soul who lost his battle with depression.
There once lived a gorgeous Earth Angel with clipped wings
His name was Vincent Paul Longo III
His friends called him Chip, his mom Chippy
But it was the name Uncle Chippy that always melted his heart
Born under the strength of the Sun♌
In his last years he preferred the sound of the rain beside his Meeshu 🐕
I know now it was because he LOVED his rainbows 🌈
For they were regular reminders of his one true love ❤️
An Earth Angel I brought into his teen life
His light and goodness were obvious to all
By his pure, child-like innocence and humility
He couldn’t see his own beauty!
Not even on the runways of Greece or Italy
Despite his daily efforts and his blinding mask of light
His reality on earth was an unbearable conscious plight
The more he learned about life‘s shadow side
The further imprisoned he became in his mind
