A Story-Poem

Cold winter morning. Sunlight
glistens off the frost. I rollover
in bed and search for another
dream—another memory to
explore. The smell of brewing
coffee caresses my nostrils,
opening up visions of eggs and bacon
frying on the stove. I roll out
of bed and brush my teeth,
removing the stench of last night’s
