STOP THE BOMBS
My heart shatters again. Thousands of tiny pieces shrouded in the thick dust of sorrow.
I want desperately to believe in the kintsugi vein of collective hope.
But how?
The mortars punctuate precious minutes and seconds, a devastating soundtrack well-known to millions yet new to me.
Death claims past, present and future.
Gone are the homes lined with books and handmade furnishings or the bustling kitchens that pulsated with the energy of a thousand caretakers to fuel bellies and souls.
Even more, images arrive: twisted steel wrecks crushed flat, blood-stained concrete and whisps of gas weave through the people.
Kilometres of craters silently scream.
Land grabs + desecration of faith; the destruction of civil society.
Intentionality guides human faces of hate as false consciousness morphs into the dominant discourse.
This is no mistaken genocide. Different fronts, the same outcome. Africa, Palestine, Israel, Ukraine — 21st century hegemony, power and control.
I need help finding meaningful actions I could take — petition signing, letter writing…
