Born 10/28/1955, in Seattle, went to Lakeside Preparatory and met Paul Allen and computers.
His first program was a tic-tac-toe game, and with Paul, another to track traffic patterns in Seattle.
Gates dropped from Harvard to start Microsoft, and negotiated with IBM the operating system for $50,000, holding the copyright, and sold it to other PC manufacturers.
In 1985, released Windows as an answer to Apple’s OS, soon it was in 90% of the world’s personal computers, together with Office, the stock price soared. Gates became the richest man in the world.
Gates married Melinda French in 1994. Together, they formed the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. They announced their decision to divorce.
