Bless You

A Poem

Author’s Backyard Archives.

Pollen. Please.

That itchy,
unwanted
Dusty Blanket of Spring.

Sifting through my senses.

Touching everything,
from
our cars

to the neighbor’s
Pristine Backyard Pocket Park.

We all
wear
the sickly Green and Garish Yellow Quilt.

Don’t step outdoors
or
You’ll
soon
be

Wound tightly in Mother Nature’s Annual Embrace.

Thanks for Smothering
my plans for today.

And yet…
Hope Springs Eternal.

Of Course.
