A Poem

even as people recycle
the other ones
The messages left inside walls
comfort no one now or to begin with

Without Footsteps to Follow

A clearing in a forest full of thin, tall and branchless trees. The green, leafy tops of them are visible in the distance. All trees are spread out enough to see the sun shining through the gaps. The day is bright but there is also a golden mist floating between the trees and the shrubs that line them. The ground is revealed and it is covered in brown foliage. It looks unkempt and untouched by human feet.
