Never in history have so many had so much to do and so little time. Busyness has become an addiction, a relentless cycle that grips our lives and breeds untold stress and anxiety. “Will it ever end?’ is a question that haunts those trapped in the whirlwind of constant activity. What can you do to break this addiction and reclaim your time?

Priorities and respect

Too many of us are perpetually busy — juggling kids, work, commuting, and struggling to attend to our finances and personal development while attending family events and volunteering. We have countless reasons for our busyness. But are we really too busy, or are our priorities simply misplaced? This is a crucial question that demands our attention, or are we too busy to think about it?

Ask yourself if you are too busy or if it is a matter of priorities. My contention is it is the latter. It is almost always in your priorities. It’s where you place value. You need not look much further. Accept the reality of the situation. As Tahir Shah put it, “Respect was one thing. Survival was another. It was important that I kept my priorities in the right order.”
