But, Everyone Else is Doing It…
Should you?
My wife Stephanie tells me every day that I would have failed as a doctor because I have no patience.
(Please laugh. That’s an EPIC Dad Joke.)
Well, I lived up to my impatient reputation by asking to get a sneak peek at the early results of our Legacy Survey about masterminds, back when we were running it.
The people who run this stuff for me — to my surprise — actually obliged.
They usually refuse, and once even changed the password on me so I couldn’t try.
When I logged in, I saw that several people who say they haven’t started a mastermind yet agree with this statement:
“There are so many masterminds already and I don’t see why mine would be anything special or unique enough to matter.”
(Fast-forward: we discovered lots of interesting things when we released our final report.)
However, I’ve already lost patience and I’m just going to say it:
The fact that “everyone else is doing it” is all the more reason you SHOULD.
Has the “out of the blue guru” ever stolen your thunder — exploding on the market with the idea you just sketched on a cocktail napkin, as if they had a hidden camera and saw what you wrote?
Well, they saw the same opportunity you did and simply out-hustled you.
The fact that both of you saw it means it’s real — that, in and of itself, is proof of concept.
I know there are lots of business masterminds out there — they were all over the place even back in 2009, when I got started.
Where do you think I got the idea?
Do you think I just made it up out of the thin blue air?
More recently, got the idea from me and is kicking ass with it — he created a mastermind for jewelry shop owners.
This other dude is also in the act — I helped him create a mastermind for content creators.
Not to mention, has a mastermind for women starting their first online business.
Then the most introverted guy I’ve ever met actually CAME TO A PARTY, and when he got here, he showed us how he used my formula to create a podcasters’ mastermind.
When he arrived, he also saw , who I helped create a mastermind for accountants.
I’m so comfortable with “everyone else doing it”, I just shared FIVE other masterminds with you.
I want you to see that some of these masterminds may be for you, but others might not.
The leaders of these masterminds also have unique brands, personalities, and approaches that you may or may not resonate with, depending on your truth.
What they all have in common is they serve specific niches of entrepreneurs that are starving for help succeeding.
It doesn’t even have to be perfect.
What’s important is you recognize that speed matters.
What else is stopping you from sharing your legacy by creating your mastermind?
Candidly, I’d like to see your mastermind in that list.
I’ll even help you promote it.
